Project Support Officer Vacancy
Wellmoor was established in 2017 as the health and wellbeing arm of the Moretonhampstead Development Trust. Wellmoor aims to empower whole community wellbeing. We do this by working to enable, coordinate and connect health & wellbeing initiatives which meet the needs of people living in the North-East Dartmoor area.
The Work
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and proactive Project Support Officer to join Wellmoor. Working alongside a small and hard-working team, the post holder will support day to day activities for a diverse range of health and wellbeing projects.
The role comprises a variety of tasks and project support, including:
Working closely with all members of the Moretonhampstead Development and Wellmoor team on a range of projects, including digital befriending, strength and balance sessions, community allotment, mental health awareness raising
Engaging in face-to-face training and providing support for people in the community
Supporting volunteer recruitment, management and development
Assisting and contributing towards the development of new projects
Assisting with project evaluation and impact measurement
Helping to manage projects including project evaluation, budgeting and finances
Supporting with the development of marketing and communications materials
Supporting with the running of health and wellbeing events and networking meetings
Supporting the charity’s Trustees as required
Skills and Knowledge
Essential
You’ll be a great team player able to work effectively as part of a busy team
You’ll be able to plan, organise and prioritise your work independently to deadlines
You’ll be great with digital and IT with an enthusiasm to enable people to use IT with confidence
You’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and enjoy engaging with people face-to-face
You’ll be able to manage and interpret data confidently
You’ll be enthusiastic to learn
Desirable
We would also like to see:
Knowledge of, and interest in, community health and wellbeing
Links to Moretonhampstead or North-East Dartmoor
Relevant experience working within a team in a supportive role
Relevant experience in research
The ability to take on more hours if required
Reporting
The post holder will report to the Wellmoor Coordinator and work closely with other staff and MDT trustees.
